Researching Young Lives VI

Selected papers presented at the Researching Young Lives VI Conference will be considered for publication in a special issue of Youth in Central and Eastern Europe (YCEE).

We invite submissions of articles addressing the key themes of the RYL VI Conference, including but not limited to:

• Young people and generations in the labour market: new and recurring experiences, tensions, and intergenerational capital;
• Housing conditions of young people in different life situations;
• Young people in education: continuity and generational change in experiences at school and in higher education;
• Young people in intra- and intergenerational relationships: intimacy, friendship, family life, parenthood, support, and care;
• Young people and migration: experiences of mobility and migration;
• The new landscape of Poland as a host country for young migrants;
• Young people and intersectional identities: age, gender, disability, neurodiversity, sexuality, class, and ethnicity;
• Young people and citizenship: social movements, political engagement, civic adulthood, youth agency and resistance, and generational tensions in public discourse.

Timeline

• Abstract submission deadline: 30 June 2026
• Notification of acceptance: 10 July 2026
• Full paper submission deadline: 30 September 2026
• Completion of the first round of reviews: 15 November 2026
• Submission of revised manuscripts: 15 December 2026
• Expected publication of the special issue: late 2026 / early 2027
