About the Journal

Youth in Central and Eastern Europe (YCEE) is an international, peer-reviewed Diamond Open Access journal dedicated to interdisciplinary research on young people in Central and Eastern Europe.

YCEE publishes original research articles, review papers, methodological contributions and book reviews in sociology, education, psychology, political science, media and communication, public health, and related disciplines.

YCEE promotes international scholarly collaboration and disseminates research addressing contemporary challenges, social transformations and the quality of life of young people across Central and Eastern Europe.

Researching Young Lives VI

We invite you to contribute to a Special Issue of Youth in Central and Eastern Europe (YCEE), a journal indexed on the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education list (40 points). The Special Issue is edited by Dr Justyna Sarnowska-Wilczyńska, MA Zuzanna Kapciak, and MA Iga Wermińska-Wiśnicka.

This Special Issue is a direct outcome of the presentations, discussions, and scholarly exchange that took place during the Researching Young Lives VI Conference, held on 28–29 May 2026.The Special Issue aims to bring together innovative empirical research and theoretical contributions that explore the diverse experiences, challenges, opportunities, and social transformations shaping the lives of young people in the third decade of the twenty-first century
