Abstract

The article presents the results of research on the adaptation of Ukrainian youth in the conditions of migration caused by the war in Ukraine. The purpose of the presented study is to determine the degree of adaptation of Ukrainian youth to a new society in the conditions of migration, as well as to analyze the socio-cultural aspects affecting the adaptation of Ukrainian youth living in Poland. The research was conducted with the help of a survey questionnaire. The survey contained 22 factual questions and 3 questions of a metric nature. The research sample consisted of 40 students studying at the Faculty of International and Political Studies of the Jagiellonian University, pursuing a bachelor’s degree, who arrived in Poland after the outbreak of a full-scale war. There were 34 female respondents, while 6 were male. According to the obtained results, most respondents studying at the university assess their adaptation positively, and students actively participate in social life. The most significant problems for Ukrainian youth in the conditions of war migration are loneliness and a lack of integration with Polish peers. The primary motives when choosing a form of free time in Poland are the possibility of communicating with Polish people and social integration.
